Commencement controversy
Operation rescue protests
The controversy over the President's appearance at Notre Dame is now getting the attention of a famous right life group.
"Operation Rescue" set up an office at Michigan Street on Tuesday.
The group is planning an ongoing anti-Obama rally and protest leading up to his commencement address in mid-May.
They tell us the building was donated for this specific purpose.
The group says its goal to have the president's speech canceled and have Notre Dame's President John Jenkins resign.
Notre Dame is sticking with Obama. Jenkins said the invitation should not be taken as condoning or endorsing the President's positions on abortion and embryonic stem cell research, but sees his visit as a basis for further positive engagement.
