200 guns, ammo, swords seized in Terre Haute man's home

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) — Court documents say police seized more than 200 guns and more than 100,000 rounds of ammunition during a search of a Terre Haute man's house.

A probable cause affidavit filed Monday in Vigo Superior Court said officers searching Gary Diana's home also found 100 pounds of black powder, explosives, hand and leg restraints, three bullet proof vests and a bomb vest.

The Tribune-Star reports the 55-year-old man was arrested Friday on an allegation of intimidation after a nurse said he threatened to shoot her during a home health care visit. The nurse reported seeing hundreds of guns, knives swords and other weapons.

Diana is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. Judge Sarah Mullican ordered mental health and competency evaluations for him.

Online court records show no attorney for Diana.
