Check your equipment before cutting your grass this week.

Over 28,000 cordless electric lawn mowers were recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission Friday due to fire hazard.

According to the commission, the circuit boards of Kobalt and Greenworks brands electric push mowers may short-circuit and catch fire.

There have been 12 incidents reported.

The CPSC notes the model numbers under recall are Kobalt KM2040X-06 and Greenworks G-MAX 25302.

If you have one of these mowers, the commission asks you to remove the battery and contact Hongkong Sun Rise Trading, the maker of the product, for a free repair.
