PAW PAW, Mich. – Amnesty Day in Van Buren County is approaching quickly for those who have bench warrants.

The county’s Friend of the Court says any parent who has an outstanding bench warrant for their failure to pay child support, can come to the administration building on Paw Paw Street anytime between 7 a.m. and noon on August 11th.

Parents who show up for Amnesty Day will not be arrested on their warrant. Instead, the county will help to resolve any unpaid child support, provide resources for employment, and provide forgiveness request forms.

The county asks that any parent who has an outstanding warrant to take advantage of the opportunity.
