Car hits pedestrians outside of London museum; pedestrians injured

LONDON – A number of pedestrians were injured Saturday after a car collision near London’s Natural History Museum according to London Metropolitan Police.

A man was arrested at the scene, police.

The crash happened at 2:20 p.m.

Photographs showed a dented silver car and a man being pinned to the ground outside the museum.

The London Ambulance Service was responding to the incident.

Police say more details would be released later.

London’s official terrorist threat level has been set at “severe,” indicating an attack is highly likely.
