Chicago trader sentenced to five years in prison

CHICAGO, Ill. – A Chicago trader, who stole nearly $2 million from his clients, was sentenced Wednesday, to more than five years in prison.

Randall Rye, 26, owned ‘Faster Than Light Trading, LLC’ and told his clients he could get them amazing profits on their investments with his trading program.

But he really didn’t have trading program and took all the money and sent investors fake account statements.

Rye pleaded guilty of wire fraud, a year earlier.
