South Bend reminds residents of cleanup program

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend residents will have the opportunity to participate in a neighborhood cleanups through the Department of Code Enforcement.

Neighborhood organizations will partner with the department to cleanup debris and litter.

Supplies such as trashbags and gloves will be provided by Code Enforcement.

Volunteers will be organized by neighborhood groups where residents can arrange a cleanup or join a scheduled time.

Current scheduled cleanups:

  • Near Northwest neighborhood

   April 14 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 1007 Portage Avenue.

  • Near Westside Neighborhood

    April 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  at TBA

  • River Park Neighborhood

    April 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at corner of Pleasant Street and Ironwood Road or corner of Ironwood Road and Mishawaka Avenue.
