Crash causes two more crashes on U.S. 20

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A crash in the westbound lanes of U.S. 20 resulted in two other serious crashes Friday afternoon.

Penn Township Fire officials say within 90 minutes, emergency crews responded to all three crashes between Elm Road and State Road 331.

The third crash was said to be the most serious with injuries of a broken pelvis.

A total of three people were injured, six vehicles were involved, and the bypass came to a complete halt for about two hours.
