Deputies investigating reports of suspicious incidents involving white van

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department is investigating multiple reports of a person in a white van approaching a child and homes in the county.

On June 30 in Leesburg, deputies were told an older man driving a white van stopped at a residence and spoke with a juvenile. When the child's parents approached the vehicle, the driver drove away.

The sheriff's office also received calls over the weekend regarding incidents that happened in the southern portion of the county.

Someone in a white van approached residences and knocked on the doors.

Deputies do not know if the incidents are related or even criminal.

The sheriff's office is asking residents to be vigilant and remind children to be cautious.
