Driver suffers a head injury in a crash on US 6

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—A crash occurred at approximately  5:13 a.m. on US 6 east of CR 100.

Allegedly, the driver 29-year-old Josh Hardin was headed east when his 2011 Jeep Wrangler crossed over the center line and ran off the north edge of the roadway.

The vehicle overturned several times. 

The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Hardin was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with a possible head injury which is non-life threatening.

Charges of Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) are being requested by the Elkhart Prosecutor’s Office.
