Elkhart Police asking for help identifying female suspect

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police have released a surveillance photo of a woman they say attempted to cash a counterfeit check.

The woman entered the Inter Cambio Express on S. Main Street in December, provided false identification and attempted to cash a counterfeit check, police said.

When the woman was questioned, she left the store.

She is described as a white female in her 20s with brown hair. She is 5'6" tall and weighs 135 pounds.
