NILES, Mich. -- In the mood for some movies? The Niles Film Festival kicked off Thursday evening at the Wonderland Cinema.

The four day event features movies from the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival.

The director of the event said that there is something for everyone, from short films to documentaries.

"The main difference between Hollywood films and independent films is that independent films are made from the heart," Jerry Dalton said. "It's a story that someone wants to tell and then worry about finding an avenue to distribute it."

The film festival wraps up Sunday.
