SOUTH BEND, Ind – The Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Gold Club Kicked off today at 7:30.
It is the seventh time South Bend is hosting the event, and the unique twist at tee time was the fan reaction
Fans that spoke with ABC57 shared their excitement.
“As a fan I think it’s great to just see some of the best players in the world play the game I love. It’s always neat to see young players you read about in college and amateur golf and they’re here and you can watch them play and do their craft” Scott Lentz of South Bend said.
Players come from around the Country to compete for a purse of more than $100,000 and to raise money for charity.
According to the LPGA this tournament has raised more than a half-million dollars for Beacon’s Children’s Hospital.
