Fire confirmed in Porter Township

PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich.– St. Joseph County Dispatch confirmed crews were on the scene of a house fire Monday night.

The fire was reported just east of Edwardsburg on the 14000 block of Carter Lake St.

The blaze is now contained but crews remain on the scene to put out any possible hot spots.

Fire officials said that everyone got out of the house safely.

There are no details on the cause of the fire at this time.
