Fire damages longtime Mishawaka family restaurant

Fire crews battled an early morning fire at a Mishawaka restaurant. It happened at Papa Joe's Casa de Pasta in the 1200 block of Union Street.

The building suffered heavy damage. No one was injured in the fire. Officials at the scene say, the owner lives nearby and was evacuated.

The family business first opened in 1973. 

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
