First summer heat wave brings record warmth

The beginning of June is bringing the heat with a punch, reminding us that (unofficially) summer is here. The heat wave has brought Michiana its first feel of temperatures over ninety degrees.

This heat wave is very normal for Michiana's climate. In fact, the average first day to see temperatures ninety degrees or above, is today, June 12th. This means that the weather trend is right on track. However, it would not be the first heat wave of the season without breaking some temperature records.

The ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team is forecasting the morning temperatures for Tuesday, June 13th to be in the low to mid-seventies. It will be a very warm night, and this overnight temperature will likely break the old record.
