George Franklin announces run for Michigan's 6th District

Democrat George Franklin announced he is running for Michigan's 6th Congressional District.

Franklin moved to Michigan over 30 years ago to work at Kellogg, where he has worked most of his career.

“I’m not a career politician, and I never want to be,” said Franklin. “I don’t want to spend decades in Washington as part of the partisan machine. I’m running for Congress because I want to keep making a difference and improving lives in our community.”

Franklin is a member of the Board of Trustees of Western Michigan University and the Agricultural Technical Advisory Committee for Trade (ATAC) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Levin Center at Wayne State University Law School.
