MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The University Park Mall had more than just shoppers walking around during the Hearts of Gold Mall Walk Saturday.

The doors opened at 6 a.m. and the walk started at 7. People got out of the cold and walked for a good cause: the Memorial Children's Hospital.

Through the Hearts of Gold Walk, the efforts will impact the lives of nearly 5,000 children who visit Memorial each year.
