I & M releases update on outages, restorations across Michiana
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Power is being restored across Michiana as crews work to repair the damage done by Saturday’s strong winds.
About 12, 000 people in the Michiana area are still without power, according to the 4:00 p.m. update from the company.
I & M provided the following numbers:
INDIANA:
- Allen County: 100
- Delaware County: 200
- Elkhart County: 500
- LaPorte County: 300
- Randolph County: 100
- St. Joseph County: 1,100
MICHIGAN:
- Berrien County: 8,700
- Cass County: 200
- Van Buren County: 800
The company also released the following estimated restoration times:
South Bend/Elkhart District
South Bend area: 90% restored by 3:00 p.m. tomorrow
Elkhart area: 90% restored by Midnight tonight
Michigan District
Benton Harbor area: 90% restored by 6:00 p.m. tomorrow
Buchanan area: 90% restored by 6:00 p.m. tomorrow
Three Rivers area: 100% by 10 p.m. tonight
