Kid’s Day during Roofsit to feature several performances, activities

GRANGER, Ind. – One of the most popular days of the annual Roofsit, Kid’s Day, will be held Wednesday.

Organizers say the day will be complete with performances from children’s groups, games, and more activities.

Roofsit is hosted by Martin’s Super Markets, Prevent Child Abuse St. Joseph County, and U93 to raise funds for child abuse prevention programs in Indiana and Michigan.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Martin’s vending partners will host games and provide food for children and their families including a cooking debut with Chef April Howell and healthy snacks from United Fresh Produce.

Event planners have scheduled these performances from local groups:

  • JOYS Gymnastics of South Bend Indiana at 11:00 a.m.
  • Marian High School Cheerleaders at 11:30 a.m.
  • Debbie Werbrouck School of Dance & Music at 12:00 p.m.
  • Robin's School of Dance at 1:00 p.m.
  • Misty School of Hip Hop at 2:00 p.m.
  • Cabaret Kids at 3:00 p.m.

The Oscar Mayer Weinermobile will also be on hand along with different agencies collecting donations for Roofsit.

All of the fun will happen at Martin’s Super Market in Heritage Square.
