Irish football fans live out dreams in fantasy camp

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- For some, playing football as a member of the Fighting Irish  is only a dream.

However, for some lucky Notre Dame fans, they got live out their dream through a fantasy camp held the LaBar Practice Fields.

Fans participated in drills that gave them the full experience of what it is like playing for the Fighting Irish.

Some said that it gave them a new appreciation for football players.

"I took a ball right in the chest. I got a little bruise, I got bruise on my hand. I had no idea these guys go through this much catching a ball," Mark Thomas of Marrietta, GA. said.

The campers even trained alongside coaches and current players.

While the bruises won't permanent, campers do take a way a reminder of their experience. Their own personalized jerseys.
