UNITED STATES -- A contraception compromise is being analyzed by religious groups.

President Barack Obama made the announcement on Friday afternoon.

Before then, religious groups -- especially Catholics-- were upset that they would soon have to offer birth control coverage to employees.

The compromise now places that responsibility with insurance companies.

It gives women access to the coverage, but still allows religious groups to stick to their beliefs.
