NILES, Mi.-- Berrien County is expected to see as much as 11 inches of snow on Tuesday.
While I-94 saw quite a few crashes due to the snowfall last Thursday, Michigan State Police say they aren’t taking any extra precautions ahead of this weeks weather.
“At this point we are not getting into any preparation. We are going to wait and see what happens. This is Southwest Michigan, they could call for 12 inches of snow tomorrow and we won’t get any. If the conditions start to deteriorate, it starts getting really bad we will call in additional resources to help with any crashes or slideoffs that do occur,” says Lt. Mike Dawson.
MDOT crews will follow their typical routes but extra crews are always on standby in case they need to respond to certain areas that are having problems.
