ELKHART, Ind. –The new Lex 530 event center in downtown Elkhart has opened for business.
The large and bright new space on Lexington Avenue was described as having an "urban vibe" and will be available for dinner events, fundraisers, weddings, and intimate gatherings.
"We hope that it'll be favorable, we do. It should also bring some business because there will be people milling around at times,” said Emilie Tiedmann, co-owner of Metropolitan Event Center.
The Lex-5-30 can hold events for up to 250 people and it is the first business in the new Elkhart River District redevelopment to open its doors.
