An update on a little boy we introduced you to earlier this season.

8-year-old Adler Carris developed a connection with team captain Austin Webster during a summer bowling event.

Since then, Irish tight end Nic Weishar learned about Adler and his battle with cancer and wanted to meet him, too.

This week, he invited Adler to the football training facility to spend some quality time with Nic, Austin and other Irish players.

They tossed the ball around, played some video games and at the end of the night, Nic presented Adler with a donation to help his family with the costs of battling cancer.

Nic's older brother Andrew lost his fight with cancer in 2012.

His family created the Andrew Weishar foundation in his memory to pay forward the kindness they received throughout Andrew's battle.

On December 1st the family will hold Weishfest, a day long music festival in Chicago to raise money for the foundation.

This year's headlining band is Third Eye Blind.
