No decision on fate of dog that attacked 12-year-old

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. – The fate of the dog that brutally attacked a 12-year-old girl Friday has not yet been decided.

Michigan City Police say Winter Morgan was attacked by the 140 pound dog in the Dunewood Trailer Park.

Her mother said every part of her daughter’s body, except for her left leg and face, had been bitten by the dog.

Morgan has undergone three surgeries at Riley Children’s Hospital and is scheduled for another one this week. She is expected to regain full use of her arm.

According to police, the case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.
