Dowagiac man injured in rollover crash

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – One person was taken to the hospital following a rollover crash Saturday evening.

According to officials, officers were called to a personal injury crash at approximately 7:21 p.m.  

Officials state 46-year-old Dowagiac resident, Shawn Jones, was traveling westbound on Marcellus Highway when he lost control of the vehicle, running off the road and overturning.

Jones told officers he swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle.

Alcohol may have been a factor in the run-off-road collision.

Seatbelts were reportedly worn.

Jones was transported to Borgess Lee Hospital for treatment.
