Police: One person injured in shooting in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police were called to the 1700 block of Morehouse Avenue just before 7 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, the 41-year-old male victim told police he was walking to his vehicle int the 1600 block of Stevens avenue when the suspect fired a gun and he was shot.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect.
