More wet weather arriving later tonight, but sunnier skies after
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A woman was shot on the northwest side of South Bend early Friday morning near Muessel Primary Center.
South Bend Police say the shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of California and Cleveland avenues.
The victim and her passenger were driving south on Portage Avenue from Cleveland Avenue when they noticed a black Nissan Altima was following them.
The passenger said they were traveling on Portage Avenue when the suspect car ran them off the road and shot into the victims' vehicle.
The woman was struck by a bullet but is in stable condition and is expected to be okay.
The victims said they didn't know the person driving the Altima.
While police were investigating the scene, gunshots rang out near the intersection of Keller and Adams Street. It is unclear if these cases are related.

SBPD has not found the shooter or the Altima and ask if you know anything about this incident to call police.
