NOTRE DAME, Ind. – If you are planning to attend the Notre Dame Football home opener Saturday, remember to leave the purse and tote bag at home.
The university’s clear bag policy allows fans to bring a clear plastic, vinyl, PVC, or a gallon-sized Ziplock bag inside the gates of Notre Dame Stadium.
Small clutches, approximately the size of a hand and without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium along with the clear bag.
The university says exceptions will be made for medical bags or equipment which will be inspected at the gates.
Anyone who attempts to bring these items into the stadium will be turned away.
Vendors selling clear bags will be near the gates. Clear bags can also be purchased at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore and at merchandise locations.
The clear bag policy also applies to concerts, professional games, and other reserve-ticketed events on campus.
