Another round of rain, then a cool weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Police say a person was shot while driving early Thursday morning.
Investigators say the car hit two other vehicles and a light pole, before ending up in a yard on the 1100 block of Huey Street.
Officers say they got the call around 12:40 a.m.
Police say 40-year-old Kinte Johnson was the only one in the vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. He is in Stable condition.
Johnson's vehicle, a black SUV, hit multiple parked vehicles. The SUV had evidence of being struck by bullets.
Johnson told police he was shot during an attempted robbery.
