Michigan State Trooper opens fire on suspect in Benton Harbor
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend officer who was shot in the leg is identified as Patrolman Joshua Morgan. He has been treated and released from the hospital, according to SBPD.
A South Bend Police Officer was shot in the leg while arresting a robbery suspect Wednesday afternoon.
The officer is being treated and is stable, police said.
The officer injured this afternoon is PFC Joshua Morgan. He was treated at the hospital for his injury and has since been released. #southbend

Police said someone entered the jail lobby to report they were the victim of an attempted robbery. South Bend Police responded to the jail to take a report around 4:50 p.m.
Officers learned the suspect may be in the area.
A short time later there were reports of shots fired near Our Lady of the Road on Main Street and there was a request for an ambulance.
Police said the officer was shot in the leg but is in stable condition.
The County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating.
