South Shore Line invites teachers to ride for free

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Shore Line will be shelling out free rides to local educators to show its appreciation.

Monday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 13th, all off-peak and weekend train rides will be free.

The SSL only asks teachers to present a valid school ID.

“We really wanted to do something for teachers who work so hard to positively impact the lives of students in Northwest Indiana, South Bend and Chicago. This is our way of saying ‘Thank You!’” said John Parsons, SSL vice president of planning and marketing.
