Two people ejected, airlifted from crash on I-65

JASPER COUNTY, Ind. – Two people from Merrillville were ejected from their vehicle during a crash on I-65 Monday evening.

According to Indiana State Police, a single car ran off the road and overturned near mile marker 205, which is just north of the Remington exit.

Both occupants, 28-year-old Dranetta Tyler and 23-year-old JaJuan Harris of Merrillville, were ejected from the vehicle.

Troopers say Tyler and Harris were airlifted to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois for treatment of their injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
