U.S. 12 bridge repairs, lane restrictions begin Monday

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Bridge repairs on U.S. 12 over the Galien River, near New Buffalo begins Monday.

The Michigan Department of Transportation says the improvements to the bridge include:
- Joint replacement
- Deck repairs and resurfacing
- Steel beam repairs
- Substructure patching
- Concrete structure coating
- Guardrail replacement
- Approach repaving
There will be single-lane closures maintained with a temporary traffic signal.
MDOT says the repairs are expected to be completed by June 29.
