Vehicle rolls over several times, driver extricated

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A man was extricated from his vehicle after it flipped multiple times on Tharp Lake Road late Saturday night.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, just north of Chapel Hill, at approximately 11:06 p.m.

A vehicle driven by 48-year-old Benjamin Burnham of Cassopolis, was traveling north on Tharp Lake Road when Burnham lost control and drove off the roadway. Deputies say the vehicle overturned several times.

Burnham was pulled from his vehicle and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Although alcohol is not a factor in the crash, deputies believe improper speed played a role.
