BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CNN) -- Broomfield police say a loose moose has been hanging around a central Broomfield neighborhood for the past few weeks.

Monday morning Colorado Parks and Wildlife tranquilized the moose so they could take it back into the wild.

According to parks and wildlife, the moose is male, probably 2 to 3 years old and weighs 800 to 1,000 pounds.

The moose kept to itself and didn't hurt anyone.
