Golden Dome focuses on silver screen for student film festival

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- This weekend, the Golden Dome will be focused on the silver screen!

Hundreds of films were submitted to the 23rd Annual Notre Dame Student Film Festival, but just 16 made the grade.

Students we talked to said they are excited for the opportunity to showcase their art.

"I'm really excited about the festival. There's actually going to be a red carpet here! "It's just really a fun time. I love the film festival, there's so many people that come in and it's always a packed house," said Kelsie Kiley, Notre Dame Film Student and Director of "Virus" and "Project Hopeful".

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to watch all 16 films that were selected by the faculty. Each film ranges between three and 15 minutes.

The festival starts on Thursday and runs through Saturday. You can catch showings daily at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at the Michael Browning Family Cinema inside the DeBartolo Performing Arts Building.

Tickets are just $6 for the general public, $5 for faculty and staff, and $3 for students.
