South Bend bar to go smoke-free

One South Bend bar and grill is changing with the times and going smoke-free.

Frank's Place on West Marion Street heard customers complain the restaurant was too smokey.

Now, they are taking action by turning smoke-free December 31st.

Bar owner Nick Linarello believes this move will be positive for the business.

“We wouldn't do it if I didn't believe in it. I think it will have a positive impact on the business. Now we can have a nice base of both customers.”

Linarello says they do not want to lose their customers who smoke, so they have added a ventilated smoking room inside, which is equipped with a 40 inch TV.
