Fatal shooting takes the life of one man in South Bend

 At approximately 4:20 p.m. Sunday, the South Bend Police Department stated that they were investigating a shooting case involving one male victim at the Cedar Glen Apartments located at 400 South 25th Street. 

St. Joseph County Metro Homicide were called to the scene to assist in the investigation. 

It was later learned that the one male victim had died from one gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Police say they have interviewed multiple witnesses, but have not made any arrests at this time.

"Several persons are being interviewed here at Metro Homicide even as we speak. We are actively looking for other people who have information about what happened at the apartment today. We are focusing on one individual that we believe has pertinent information about what happened this afternoon," said Lt. Dave Wells, the Assistant Commander at St. Joseph County Metro Homicide.
