A Michiana staple is popping the top in celebration of their decades of business. Flavor 574's Marshall King stops by ABC57 to tell you about the South Side Soda Shop, free wet burritos and a trip to Kalamazoo Beer Week.
South Side Soda Shop
South Side Soda Shop will offer specials to celebrate 30 years of business this week. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will have specials on one item and all food will be 30 percent off on Thursday.
The shop opened January 14, 1986 in Goshen on South Main Street.
Since opening they have served
- 312,000 cheesesteaks
- 1,000,000 potatoes
- 16,000 gallons of chili
- 15,600 lemon meringue pies
Free wet burritos for Powerball winners
Even if you don't hit the jackpot, you could score free food with a winning Powerball ticket.
Anyone who wins money on Wednesday's Powerball drawing can take their lottery ticket to Hacienda Mexican Restaurants on Thursday and receive a free burrito, according to the restaurant chain's Facebook page.
Each winning ticket is good for one free large ground beef wet burrito, according to the Facebook post.
Kalamazoo Beer Week
Kalamazoo Beer Week will return for its sixth year Jan. 16 to 23. It features a wide variety of events highlighting Kalamazoo's craft beer scene.
