Malaak Khattab, Multimedia Journalist

Malaak Khattab joined the ABC57 News team as a Multimedia Journalist in April 2020 amidst the coronavirus pandemic. She’s excited to continue her career in the Midwest and can’t wait to explore Indiana.
Malaak comes to ABC57 from northern Minnesota, where she served as a Multimedia Journalist at Lakeland News in Bemidji.
Malaak got her start in journalism as an intern for her hometown station KVIA-TV in 2017, an ABC affiliate in El Paso, Texas. After her internship, she worked as a Digital Content Writer for a startup media agency in Dubai.
The Texas native earned her communications degree abroad from one of the top universities in the Arab World.
Malaak is passionate about telling stories and meeting new people. When she’s not working you can find her at a coffee shop, listening to podcasts or shopping.
If you have any coffee shop suggestions, or a story idea or just want to say hi, please feel free to reach out on Facebook, Twitter, or email her at mkhattab@abc57.com.
