Come on out to the Elkhart Environmental Center on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. for the City of Elkhart’s 26th Arbor Day celebration! Mayor Moore will deliver his annual Arbor Day Proclamation at 12:00 p.m. and unveil the center’s newest education area. Learn about the emerald ash borer, what it’s doing to the ash trees and hear about ash tree removal in Elkhart from City Forester Dan Coy. You can also see live log milling, talk to students who operate a tree care company, and adopt a tree to take home! Admission is free and there will be free trees and food while supplies last! Join the Elkhart Environmental Center and the City Forester and help us proclaim our dedication to sustaining a healthy, vibrant city forest.
