DETROIT (CNN) -- People in metro-Detroit are out searching for meteorites.
The national weather service and United States Geological Survey confirmed a meteor caused a magnitude 2.0 earthquake in the area Tuesday night.
Some residents said their houses shook or windows rattled.
At first it was reported pieces of the meteor could be found in Mount Clemens, New Haven or Macomb Township.
Now experts with the Cranbrook Institute of Science say it could have fallen near Chelsea.
Some experts believe remains of the fallen meteor could sell for up to $1 million.
