He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Go Fighting Illini!), where he graduated in May 2013 with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast-Journalism.
While studying at Illinois' flagship academic institution, Eric served as a weekly anchor and producer for Illini Media's Daily Illini Vidcast.
Eric soon realized that his true enjoyment came when he would step away from the desk to report for the Illinois College of Media's award-winning UI-7 News. While there, he worked on a wide array of stories, including uncovering a child charity scam and researching the rattling repercussions of becoming a lifelong registered sex offender.
"Ever since I saw my first episode of CBS' 60 Minutes at the age of 4 while sitting on the couch next to my grandmother, I've wanted to make a difference in the lives of others through reporting. That's why I strive to make people the most important part about every story I tell."
Eric's thrilled about having the opportunity to live in and learn more about an area as storied as South Bend and the rest of Michiana. So don't be shy, say hi if you see him!
