Heroin Investigation leads to Arrest of La Porte County Teenager
LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. - Two people including a teenager are arrested in LaPorte County for allegedly selling drugs.
Deputies say the arrests of Tyler Lukac, 18 and Shelby Nichols, 20, were the result of an on-going intensive investigation into the distribution of heroin in the county.
Sheriff Michael Mollenhauer says law enforcement is aggressively targeting people who are distributing heroin and other controlled substances in La Porte County.
“Those who choose to corrupt and infect others in La Porte County with illegal substances like heroin are being sought out and targeted,” said Mollenhauer. “The public should be aware that efforts to combat heroin in LaPorte County by our law enforcement agencies are being ratcheted up.”
