ISP Trooper locates stolen vehicle, makes arrests
ELKHART, Ind. -- Two men were arrested after an Indiana State Trooper caught them in a stolen vehicle while driving on the toll road.
Authorities report that ISP Trooper Aaron Price was on patrol when he noticed the Ford ahead of him was driving erratically.
Price ran the plates and found that the Ford was reported stolen out of St. Joseph County Indiana.
According to officials price followed the car until he had assistance from another trooper, and then pulled over the vehicle near the Mishawaka exit.
When speaking to the passengers Price stated that he smelled marijuana.
Officials say the driver, 48-year-old Kenneth Goof, of Mishawaka, had a bag of marijuana on his person.
When searching the vehicle Price found drug paraphernalia throughout the vehicle, as well as more marijuana.
Goff was arrested for Auto Theft, Driving While Suspended, Possession of Paraphernalia, and a Warrant for Parole Violation.
Passenger, David Wall, aged 42, from Iowa Park Texas, was also arrested for Marijuana possession and possession of Paraphernalia.
Both men are being held in Elkhart County Jail where they await their date in the courtroom.
