Kids4Kids "I Hate Shakespeare"

What’s the big deal about Shakespeare? SBCT Kids4Kids will answer all the problems you have with the Bard of Avon in wild and wacky ways: Romeo and Juliet on a dating game show, Othello working out his jealousy issue on a talk show, Hamlet heckled during “To be or not to be,” and other crazy shenanigans! You will never see Shakespeare quite the same way after this fun and inventive show. In fact, after you see it, you may never say “I Hate Shakespeare” again.
Director Tori Abram-Copenhaver leads a game cast of student actors, from middle school to high school: Billie Bennett, Clare Costello, Nathan Flesh, Quynn Hickey, Erin Joines, Abby Kagel, Michael Litteral, Andy Martinez, Siôn Shepley, Claire Stowe, Mary Rose Weber and Avery Worrell.
Director Abram-Copenhaver says "this incredible team of young artists weaves together a hilarious and fast paced retelling of many of Shakespeare's best known works. I Hate Shakespeare allows families from all backgrounds to experience and understand the importance and relevance of Shakespeare's plays in our lives today. Come see Jerry Springer and Jim Lang interview and uncover the stories behind Othello, Romeo, Juliet and Hamlet. I Hate Shakespeare will be the play you and your family laugh with and talk about all summer!"
Performances for I Hate Shakespeare are in SBCT’s Warner Studio Theatre Fridays and Saturdays August 16, 17, 23, 24 at 7:00 PM and Sundays August 18 and 25 at 3:00 PM. Tickets are currently on sale at $10 or 4 for $32.
