Local Veteran Benefit: Kent Nash

On Sept. 9, 2012, life drastically changed for local veteran, Kent Nash and his wife, Loranne, when they were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident while on vacation in Richmond, VA. Their plans for an enjoyable getaway to a NASCAR race and a first time visit to Arlington National Cemetery, took a very different turn when they collided with a cement barrier on Interstate 95.

As a result of his injuries, Kent has not yet been able to return to work. He will require additional surgeries and his recovery will extend into the coming year. Loranne has been able to return to work, but with 3 children at home and mounting medical bills, they could use our help.
A benefit to raise money for medical expenses, including transportation home from Virginia, is being held Saturday, December 1 from 5:00 to 10:00 pm at the American Legion in Middlebury, IN (103 York Drive). The event will include cash prizes, various raffle items donated by local businesses, food and a DJ. Tickets are available at the door and you need not be present to win. Donations are welcome.Come enjoy some food, folks and fun and show your support for this local family in need.
