HUNTINGTON, Ind. (AP) — A new mobile clinic in northeast Indiana is providing medical care to children close to where they live — and for free.
WANE-TV reports that Parkview Health and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana have teamed up to bring the clinic on wheels to different parts of the Fort Wayne-area.
The clinic provides free checkups, health screenings, strep tests and vaccinations to children under age 5 who do not have insurance.
Parkview Health plans to work with schools, churches, and parks so the mobile clinic can provide the free services at those locations.
The bus will also make stops at community events. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be out Monday through Thursday.
